Forums - Nintendo - Dawn of Discovery Wii... How did this game go so unnoticed??

Ya know I've been interested in this game but never really heard enough about it to merit a purchase...may have to take the plunge after reading this.

FYI anyone interested, Amazon.com has this game for $15

Man this game is so addictive. Just finished chapter 6. It's getting even better now that I'm finally starting to wrap my head around all the quirks and game mechanics. If I have ONE complaint besides the lack of online it would be the sheer amount of things you need to learn in this game.. There's almost TOO much to handle at times. They could have done without a few things like the rat catcher but overall it's not bad once you learn everything.

Thankfully the story mode does a great job of taking you slowly through the process step by step until to finally grasp everything. I'm usually not a fan of tutorials but it's absolutely necessary in this game. Even on chapter 6 you're still learning new features. I can't wait to try out the continuous mode and put everything together into one epic game.

ah a different name in aus.

I will have to check it out. thanks mate.

Are the Wii and PC versions of Anno more complex than the DS version?

By the way, in terms of third party games for this generation of consoles, I would be fairly surprised if a game came out that I would like more than Rune Factory Frontier; that one just about nailed it for me. It is one of the most satisfying games I've played in years. Rune Factory Frontier is the one to get, the DS ones are similar; but have severe balancing and pacing issues in comparison - there's a lot more to do in the Wii version over the course of the game.

The PC version is much more complex than the Wii version.

Can't compare it to the DS version though.

Recently, this game has been all I can think about getting. I have the feeling it will go out of print very soon so the clock is ticking on getting it.

Damn, I wishI won that VGC Giveaway!!!

Forget what I say, I just had a lapse here, no both game are the same gameplay wise between the DS and Wii, only the presentation change. The PC version, as always, is the more complex version of the game.

I am almost 100% on picking up Rune Factory Frontier now along with my copy of Endless Ocean 2. It sounds like it's similar to Dawn of Discovery and Little King's Story, which are two of my favorite Wii games.
