hey ya'know what, they always run out of paper towels by 2nd period and the toilets dont even flush (except for a copule on the first floor)

What's wrong with his school is likely all the extra funding they've gotten went to paying teachers, and the teachers you can fire are the lower paid ones since it usually has to go seniority union wise.

That and school administrators are just dumb, because they're usually just teachers who moved up the ranks and not actual buisness people.

Our school ALWAYS ran out of "paper" or almost did when I was in highschool nearly a decade ago.

This was in a nice suburb with high school taxes.  It all went to teachers and shit like bringing in sand to throw beach parties and stuff.

Uusally it's not so much the lack of paper that's a problem... it's the fact that the copy machines are leased usually isntead of bought, and you can only make so many copies on it before you have to pay huge fines... and teachers ALWAYS go over budged because nobody bothers to set actual limits for each teacher or do... anything that makes sense.

My school just had to retire the older teachers early and hire inexperienced ones. We also had to cut one job and cut back on paper usage. No more color printing either.

who cares school will be done soon, then like me you will laugh at current kids and students and their difficulties :)

Pretty disturbing stuff for a first world country.

Damn... do students notice that? at my Academy for Art and Design where I work we have changed that policy.. our college chipcards now have to be prepaid charged with an amount of prints you can have... go over that amount and you have to pay it yourself as teacher... it was messy when it was unlimited.. for the 2000 employees of Avans Hogeschool (18.000 students in 3 cities) now there are like only 50 with an unlimited print chipcard.. I'm one of them and I use it waaaay too much for non important stuff and I always print in color.. They also limited our amount of coffee we can get with the chipcards.. 100 a day.. >_>

its about funding and from the sounds of it you're school is not getting the money they need...so in a few words budget cut!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Shit son, sounds like your school is in serious trouble. And for those prices - that's a fucking high school?!

I pay 1600 euro a year for a university excluding books (that's another 200 a year if your smart). With that money I actually get the finest teachers, professionals from the field, international lecturers... even politicians! How can the prices in the US be that huge and offer so little.?!

Its a popularity contest.  The 'administration' at my high school was a bunch of people related to each other, so unsuprisingly they hired and promoted family members into the school system, that and family friends.  The state almost took over because we had such poor preformance.
