No it's the best Jrpg ever made. It also has 94 on metacritic which makes it one of the highest rated Jrpg.

Wow, you have such a hate boner for this game it's unbelievable. I played this game while on a Summer vacation in a bungalow near a beach. While that may have skewed my opinion a bit, I still think this game being one of my fondest gaming memories has a lot to do with it's inherent greatness.

Yeah I played it for a bit. I was expecting it to feel like Chrono Trigger and get really engrossed in the story.

I can't remember where I got to, but it was just so boring I had to stop playing. The gameplay isn't very good either. You have to build up attacks and attack with elements, and you need to equip the right ones, you need... to much time to care.

Didn't like it, got really bored with it.

Companies paying game news media for high gaming reviews is nothing new to the industry. In fact, it's pretty common. Just look at terrible games like the WWE series before THQ finally got what it deserved.

The biggest problem of Chrono Cross was the "Chrono" in its name. It has close to nothing to do with the original "Chrono Trigger" which is still one of the best games ever made. I was so disappointed by Chrono Cross that I gave up playing it after about 5 hours.
