Rol was right. This game will feel like the melodrama of a Final Fantasy male.

I want this game alot though.

That's the problem. They've shoved us with 30 trailers about the "feelings" os Samus or other shit and very little gameplay. Metroid sucess was never due the history. Remember the epic plot twist in Metroid II of the gameboy? Or the other Metroids? Yeah, me neither.


  Dude there are 30 trailers? Here I was thinking that there were only 2 so far? One with half gameplay half CG and the other pure CG? Can you lead me to a link with the 30 trailers.?

Try watching this trailer 30 times.

ITS A CINEMATIC TRAILER - CINEMATIC MEAN NO GAMEPLAY ! -

nobody complains about the FF trailers without gameplay footage , i really want to see the gameplay footage but hell lets talk about what we got and what we got may very well be the most amazing cut scene for a Ninendo game ever , and i just freaking loved Samus' voice is perfect ans she looks very real for me , and the most perfect is that the samus in the trailer still makes sense with the samus that we all see in the Prime series quiet serious and most THE MOST FREAKING AWSOME FEMALE CHARACTER EVER ! this is a freaking F_a_c_t .

PS:Who agree with me that Samus is way more cute with short Hair ? Anyone ?

Metroid Fusion had 40 'cut scenes' (used loosely), but most were from 10 to 30 seconds long. But they never said "Metroid: Other M takes the best elements of 1st-person and 3rd-person gaming to create a seamless blend between gameplay, story-telling and dynamic cinematography, that feels like a movie the player can control" about Fusion.

It does seem to be growing, but from different angles. In the joystiq article on the same trailer we got a fair few comments that were basically "about damn time for some actual story, nintendo, but why the damn anime-esque?"

Metroid as a series was a ton better when people kept their mouths shut. Gameplay-wise this game might be awesome, but so was MGS4. Just like MGS4 this might turn out to be a pile of crap nonetheless, and I'd be very very sad.

Sorry to ask but try no compare Nintendo with anything else ...there will be one day when nintendo will screw up with one of their main franchise but i pretty sure i will be dead, and the world will be ruled by magicarps when this comes by ...

It already happened, though. See Star Fox: Adventures. No matter what you think of that game, it was a massive disappointment to any Star Fox-fan since, well, it's not a Star Fox-game.

Same could be said for Assault, since a lot of people seem to hate that game (though I don't know why, I quite like it).
