I fixed my PS3's YLOD a few days ago and after I put it all back together and got it working again, it asked me for the date as if it had restarted. My PS3 is a 60gb model and it works perfectly fine. Also, I wasn't signed in when this occured. Anyone think that me fixing it may have been what kept it from bugging on me?

it doesn't actually harm your ps3, or delete anything. you just cant play the games. its the trophy system. it bugged out. any game that has a trophy wont work. I'm playing Valkyria Chronicles right now fine on my launch 60gig.

I remember when the Zune had a similar problem there were duplicate threads in the Microsoft forum with some people bashing Microsoft.

It's nice to see people showing class here and I hope Sony gets this sorted out soon.
