Forums - Sony Discussion - HEAVY RAIN: How far had you gone to save your son? SPOILER

In my first playthrough I went through the entire game almost doing everything right with the exception of not saving Lauren and not killing the drug dealer.

However right at the end I screwed up with Madison on the bike and got put in a police car.

Me and my girlfriend were both so upset when it ended off with Ethan getting shot and killed right after saving his son.

So far I've only found 2 ways to save yourself in the fire, I'm not sure why but I think there might be a 3rd but the table isn't one...

PS One/2/p/3slim/Vita owner. I survived the Apocalyps3/Collaps3 and all I got was this lousy signature.

Xbox One: What are you doing Dave?

I kept all characters alive for round 1. Made it so easy to get the endings.

I think the only ways to save yourself is from the fire is to go out the window and to go inside the fridge.

Is there is an easy way to find out how to unlock all the endings? I would like to platinum this if I can.

Ethan finished the first three trials without any problems, but couldn't bring himself kill the drug dealer or drink the poison. He figured could guess the location with the clues he had. He listened to the seagull sounds and the freighter horn and chose the only location by the harbor. Ethan saves Shaun and spares Scott, but gets shot to death (Queen Latifah in Set It Off style) by the police.

Madison learns the name of John Sheppard's brother from Ann and infiltrates Scott's apartment. She finds the secret room but can't figure out what the password is to the laptop. Scott finds her and sets the apartment on fire. Madison escapes by jumping out of the kitchen window into another apartment and makes it out in time before the apartment explodes.

Norman gets information out of Mad Jack and arrests him. He heads to the Blue Lagoon and fights the Origami Killer and manages to get some receipts out of the killer's pocket. He returns to his office, but can't piece the clues together and gives up. He later quits the FBI.

Scott saves Lauren and Hassan. He saves himself and Lauren from drowning and takes on Kramer at his mansion killing all of the guards and beats a confession out of Kramer that his son is a copycat and accidentally killed a child. He spares Kramer's life and gets him his heart medicine makes Lauren leave town. Since he was spared by Ethan in the warehouse he walks away content with the sacrifices Ethan made to save his son. Lauren finds out he was the killer and shoots him in the face.

Best way to do it is to keep all your characters alive on your 1st playthrough, then the farthest you would ever have to go back is to the chapter "On the loose" and you can get all endings.

Use this to help you with your endings.

One thing that I don't understand at all (but I'm not going to make a thread about it): My internet was down for about 30 minutes. My PS3 wouldn't even let me play Heavy Rain at all! It kept saying that it couldn't synchronize trophies. Then I would send me back to the XMB. Does this mean that if my internet is down, I can't play my $60 game? That's bullshit!!

My first ending got ruined due to six axis not registering correctly. Everything is going fine, I'm at the right warehouse, rescue the kid. One wrong QTE (six axis) gets Jayden killed. One wrong QTE (six axis again) makes Madison's bike crash, which gets Ethan killed and Scott Shelby's loser ass doesn't rot in jail for the rest of his life, instead he gets a quick and painless death.

I could play it again, but I don't think i'd enjoy it as much since what happened is canon and any changes to make it better are gonna feel like fan fiction.  I was playing it on easy but I switched in the middle and now I really regret it. I wouldn't mind if I got the shit ending because I made bad choices, but I got them because of wonky controls.

The game is so much like a movie that I'm judging it like a movie. For me Heavy Rain was great but the ending I got was ass and ruined it. At least if it was a movie i'd only lose $8 and 2 hours. I lost $60 and 20 hours on this.

It was a cool experiment and I'm happy to have supported the idea that games can be more than shooters, but I think next time i'll wait till it's $20 or just Gamefly it.

Got all my characters to the end of the game with my superb button mashing. Finished all 5 trials successfully, then at the last chapter I had a brain fart, and Madison got arrested, Jayden got ground up into dog food and Scott got away... Oh yeah, and Ethan got shot because the dumb bitch Madison got arrested.

Though I did get the achivement for getting everyone to the end, and then failing miserably :)
