Although that's more because Activision has true multiplatform ideals than developers who claim they would support a more powerful Nintendo system, but didn't do the same for the GG (no the disc size was not a reason, since multiple discs was an option). |
Some third parties will probably never support Nintendo the way it got supported with NES SNES If they end up doing it next gen after this gen's domanation I will be surpised.

I don't know about that. I think developers will put there games where ever they need to to make the most money.
IMHO I think the reason the "core" players won't play games like MW2 on the Wii is mainly because of worse graphics and bad online. If say the Wii had PSN online and PS3 graphics then there would be MW2 and games like that on it. Then, and it may take a little while, "core" players would all flock to these games on the Wii. But in this case the Wii would also be a lot more money and that would hurt the casual buyer and in turn hurt Nintendo's plan to sell to that buyer. To be perfectly honest I think this would be a bad thing. It would make the Wii almost too good. If the Wii had the HD power graphics and the online there would be no reason for PS3/360. Ok maybe some of there exclusives but they would be hurting bingtime and us Nintendo fans NEED the MS/Sony systems there for compition. Less Nintendo get "lazy"...=0)
Maybe Im wrong though. Maybe developers would ignore the Wii anyways. But it would not make much sence to do so seeing the install base. And the GC can't be brought into this because it was a 3rd place console with a tiny usebase.

I actually hope ARc and Natal take off for the compition reason. I want to see full out mothion control games of Mario kirby, etc etc. You know if Sony or Xbox actually put some core games on with full motion controls Nintendo will. Well, really I do not know why they have not yet.

Hmmm maybe. But I'm not sure if motion controls should be used for everything. Personaly I dont think they are there great in platform games, ie Mario. I think motion controls are best used in FPS. And that includes over the shoulder 3rd person. I have been waiting for Infamous to get a bit cheaper for PS3. I like the game but i wanna pay like 40 for it not 60. Its down to 40 now and im planing to get it. But I would LOVE to play that game with motion controls. I hate to aim with duel analog.
Games I think motion controls thrive in: FPS, RTS, 3rd person, and some action games. I liked it in Madworld but Im glad its not being used in Monster hunter Tri.
Idk but I just think motion controls have there place but its not in all games. There have been a lot of core Wii games with good motion controls too. RE4, Metroid, Zelda. Thats just 3 that come to mind very fast.
