lol wish he at least waited until the xbox started outselling the ps3 this year worldwide :P but then again what did anyone expect? for him to say "we believe that we will do moderately well and suck less than in 2009"?

MS won't do as well as they think and others may think :) take it as a personal prediction if you will

The only two flaws in this piece was:

1. He ignored Wii like always. It would have been nice if he said 'Catch up to Wii' for once.

2. He just talked about U.S.A. which is pretty forgiveable if the first always gets a pass. Which is kind of forgiven by the fact he actually said the PS3 had great games yadda yadda ydadda which is something I don't remember Sony ever saying about the Xbox or Wii.

Noone makes bad PR like Sony. When have you even seen Sony even acknowledge there might just be good games on another system? As far as im aware they still lead the field here and its about the only battle they're winning this generation.

Start of 2009, no one believed the PS3 would outsell the 360. It was the late price cuts that pushed the PS3 ahead of the 360 in 2009. It will happen again with 360 late price cuts and the US sales win for the 360 will wipe out all the PS3 gains worldwide in 2010. 360 will outsell the PS3 in 2010 between 500k to 1 million units in world wide sales. PS3 2010 sales + 500k = 360 sales in 2010.

360 will sell 6 million units in US in 2010. Again increasing in yearly sales in the US region. PS3 will sell around 4.5 million in the US. PS3 outsell the 360 in Japan and Europe by around 1 million and victory will be for the 360 by 500k over the PS3 in 2010 total console sales.

I believe Microsoft predictions will come true in regards to the 360 sales fortune. Win in US will erase the PS3 gains in Japan and Europe = 360 wins overall worldwide.
360 has won previous sales years over the PS3 by winning only the US region, but losing the other two sales regions.

The sales gap will be much closer than last year. PS3 picked up 2 million more sales than the 360 because a 25% price drop and PS3 Slim model pushed the sales. PS3 is unlikely to have a price cut in 2010. It is the 360s time to shine with Natal and more price cuts in 2010. 2006, 2007 and 2008 - the 360 outsold the PS3 on average by 1 million in each of those years.

Why can't the 360 outsell the PS3 now? It's already cheaper than the PS3.

Come on, MS has a $199 console where Sony is not even close to getting near, they are losing WW to a console having stock issues, more expensive and in third place.

How do you know they are losing? The numbers are just estimates and if the stock problem is worse than originally thought...

What $199 console do you speak of? The Wii is made by Nintendo, according to Sony the $199 Xbox 360 is a lie!

Well, I am in VGchartz which gives me numbers each week, I know there could be changes, but i can only go by i am given.

Too bad I am not Sony nor do they pay me, so yes there is a $199 360.

The $299 XBox 360 Elite 120GB sell much more than the $199 Arcade XBox 360.
So it is actually a $299 PS3 120GB competing up against a $299 XBox 360 Elite 120GB. $199 Arcade XBox 360 is competing against the Wii which is priced at $199.
