Forums - Nintendo Discussion - Found my copy of Golden Sun.

I was searching for art supplies in my cupboard today and instead I found my long lost copy of Golden Sun. I've been playing it all afternoon... I forgot how incredible this game is :D .

Apart from my excitement of finding golden sun, I also have a question. I've never played Golden Sun: Lost Ages, because I could never find a copy, can anybody tell me if it's worth hunting down? Also, is it necessary to finish it before the 3rd one comes out?

Thanks :D .

I think the 3rd game is going to have an independent storyline so don't worry too much.

Also, The Lost Age is a fantastic game in its own right but takes elements from the first game and delivers an odd plot.

Pixel Art can be fun.

Thanks. I'll see if EB has a copy tomorrow. That or I'll just hunt it down on ebay. Hopefully this media summit coming up has some information on golden sun 3; would be great to see an new trailer ^_^ .

Golden Sun 2 is as fun as Golden Sun 1 I would hunt it down if I was you.

I thought Golden Sun was okay. I saw a lot of potential in it but I felt it didn't get as fulfilled as I had hoped. I have yet to play The Lost Age properly, though, but I will in due time.

I felt the same way.  Frankly, I got tired of it halfway through from the endless dialogue and the forced puzzles.  The game had a wicked combat engine, but around 75% of the game was spent doing rather lackluster Zelda-esque puzzles and some of the most mundane text I ever read that made it seem like they were ADDING more to fill time (such as making the characters repeat each others words or go over past information multiple times when you reach a new town).

Can't say I'm psyched for the new Golden Sun.  In fact, I'm more interested in the next Lufia DS game coming out, which looks to be doing everything Golden Sun was trying to do (broad branching storyline over multiple characters, fully action based environment with puzzles, fighting the 'gods', etc) but MUCH better.

Six upcoming games you should look into:

you need the 2nd one, since the last two light houses are in it..
