I wonder when the new slims will be on the market?

Oh wow, this weekend the closest gamestop with 120GB PS3 was about 34 miles away, now the closest and what happens to be the only one is 85 miles away.

Also according to Gamestop.com the closest store with 250GB models is 16 miles away.

What the hell are they doing?

Sony had better have a good excuse, because right now they're not capitalizing on the momentum the created with the Slim.

At the moment, Sony just isn't doing what I expected them too.

all PS3 models are having issues.. since they aren't shipping many..

Why? We honestly do not know, but after those two new slim models appeared, I'm guessing they found a way to reduce the cost further, and are goign to manufacture newer less expensive models..

For this fiscal year, Sony announced the production of 13mio units (at the time of the announcement, this was considered insane considering economic troubles looming ahead). The last batch of these 13mio units is probably being shipped right now and that is all you get. Apparently supply was underestimated in some regions (and according to this site, roughly 3.5 units must be sitting somewhere unsold..). I can walk into Mediamarkt and still see 50+ 120G units and 30+ 250G units - maybe Switzerland stocks all these missing 3.5mio units -:)
