I really like how he always calm and collective he thinks logically great skill.
Oh this is just a question i know Iwata can seak english since ive seen him but can Myamoto?
Demotruk said: Iwata made Yamauchi the richest man in Japan for a short period. I would actually say that Iwata is better than Miyamoto. Yeah, Miyamoto is a great at creating games, but being an experienced and intelligent game developer in the CEO position with a knowledge of business, Iwata can take Nintendo much further than Miyamoto could. |
He's insanely rich, yeah. He's got over 4 billion dollars, crazy! I wonder, when he dies, if he'll leave Nintendo any money. I'm guessing he will, since he has such an incredibly strong bond with the company, and after refusing his retirement funds of up to 14 million dollars, feeling Nintendo could put the money to better use. Who knows, he might leave his entire fortune to Nintendo, that would put Nintendo in an unfathomably comfortable position.

Well you have to admire how Iwata runs the show at Nintendo, you have to say this guy might be in the top 50 manager list. I mean, how many other CEO have you heard of that turned a company around from total lack of significance to top dog status and earning simply mammoth amounts of cash in the process?
Also, throw out the misconception that there is less first party support as this gen we have a lot more than during the GC era. If the games don't suit your tastes, well that's a whole different problem, just that it's not Nintendo's, it's your problem.
If i lose access to this profile as well....I'm done with this site.....You've been warned!!.....whoever you are...
Happy Wii60 user. Me and my family are a perfect example of where hardcore meets casual and together mutate into something awesome.
yes, honestly for me Iwate is more money oriented
Suggesting its drastic is your first mistake. Read the financial reports and watch his presentations, its FAR from drastic. If anything the company is more focussed and accurate now, they know what they want.
Nintendo have studied, analysed and marketed themselves for a purpose, to expand the market. This is exactly what they done. Its not like they were any different 20 years ago either, you just remember it differently.
“When we make some new announcement and if there is no positive initial reaction from the market, I try to think of it as a good sign because that can be interpreted as people reacting to something groundbreaking. ...if the employees were always minding themselves to do whatever the market is requiring at any moment, and if they were always focusing on something we can sell right now for the short term, it would be very limiting. We are trying to think outside the box.” - Satoru Iwata - This is why corporate multinationals will never truly understand, or risk doing, what Nintendo does.

obviously. I think he's doing an awesome job though.
Yeah he is.
And he's better for it.
He's actually a video game developer (well, was, but still is @ heart), unlike the previous Nintendo president, or any suit at any company.
This is great cause it makes him think wild crazy ideas just as much as Miyamoto does.
I think the Wii and DS were the best things to happen to Nintendo. They needed this type of innovation to survive, as if hardcore gamers who wish the Wii was in HD ran Nintendo it would have failed this gen.
If ppl want a core machine, get a 360 or PS3. Simple. You should love video games first. It why we're all here, right?

Bullshit. Sin and Punishment 2 and Punch Out, not money orientated. What about the Super Mario Galaxy sequel?
Like i said in my post above, they have achieved their objectives, making games that arn't for you, and in terms of a successful business strategy its destroyed Sony and MS. Ask yourself, how long did it take for Sony to make a pink PSP and market Hannah Montana to girls? Too fucking long is the answer.
As an investor i want to buy their shares, as a gamer i want to buy their games (most of them). So whats wrong with the philosophy?
