Forums - Nintendo Discussion - Red Steel 2 blowout

hmm. Looks better than i imagined, at least. I had fears that the gun was mostly useless, and that the swordplay was very repetitive, and there seems to be none of that in evidence here.

Monster Hunter: pissing me off since 2010.

Add me to the "this is the first Wii game I've been hyped up for since Brawl" list! Those videos are awesome, this game looks like pure F-U-N! Great graphics (and 60 frames! HELL YEAH!), adrenaline rushing gameplay, and what looks like excellent controls too!

From the videos it looks like they've really dumbed down gunplay, and by that I mean used a ton of auto-aim, but that might be a good thing. I never thought I'd want to buy this game day one.

Currently playing: Uncharted: Drake's Fortune, NBA2k11, Metal Gear Solid, Picross 3d

^^^did u go to my Facebook page and read what I posted lolz. I said the same thing about what u put in quotation marks in my status. XD

“When we make some new announcement and if there is no positive initial reaction from the market, I try to think of it as a good sign because that can be interpreted as people reacting to something groundbreaking. ...if the employees were always minding themselves to do whatever the market is requiring at any moment, and if they were always focusing on something we can sell right now for the short term, it would be very limiting. We are trying to think outside the box.” - Satoru Iwata - This is why corporate multinationals will never truly understand, or risk doing, what Nintendo does.

I'm in! (the hype list)

"I have a Wii and I'm pretty hardcore and I would love to be playing more cool Wii games but because everyone's retreating it's becoming a self-fulfilling prophesy."

That is exactly whats happening. Again, does anybody actually realise the sales numbers for MWR or are devs not paying attention?

"Also if you put that kind of violence in the game, that's all people talk about. I want people to talk about the sword."

He is spot on about this. It happened to Manhunt 2, it would have happened to this.

Ofcourse getting a T rating was prob. the other integral factor, but he won't mention that.

Im in. Im picking this one up for sure, looks great. Hopefully it succeeds on the Wii. If the marketting is there, this is one game that will have it right - in all the places where other core games on the Wii failed.

I am hyped. This kind of swordfighting is what I bought the Wii for in the first place.

I LOVE ICELAND!
