Wow, I feel spoiled. :(

For the record, every old person feels that the generation beforehand is lacking respect. Socrates wrote about it, there's a story in a bible about a bear eating kids rude to an old guy, etc.

Kids are stupid. Kids always have been stupid. Being just barely emerged from my stupid stage, I can't say that the generation before us is going to be any more stupid than any generation, but as you learn more, it's painful. Yelling at people 6 years younger than you, hell, 3 years younger than you, seems common amongst everyone I know.

We just gotta hope/work that kids havn't been getting much much much more stupid each year. To anyone under the age of 20 reading this: Yes, you are stupid. Don't worry, that phrase will make sense in a few years.

There is no violence (zomg proper spelling) around where I live. There might be a few minor fights here and there but nothing major.

Aren't violent crime rates down over the past 30 years in most countries?

Anyways, during the two years I lived in Toronto (ok, Etobicoke... Alright Rexdale!) I was mugged once on Halloween. It was 3 guys out making some mischief, no weapons or anything like that. Still though, scary stuff. So where was I?

Im 16 and live in south london, so im pretty much a target for muggers, its not fun having to constantly be on your guard, having to end nights early cos you cant be in the park at nights. My friend got stabbed with a screwdriver last year, and i was threatend with what was probly a non existant gun. And just last week on the way to school some guy tried to take my phone.
All in all life sucks.

Where I live and grew up (the inner city) it's slightly safer than it was three decades years ago. Living where I do there are many small neighborhoods that sit side by side. You can be on one block with multi-million dollar houses and walk six blocks down the street and pass in front of crack houses. Crime has been down over the last 20 years.
