For the record, every old person feels that the generation beforehand is lacking respect. Socrates wrote about it, there's a story in a bible about a bear eating kids rude to an old guy, etc.
Kids are stupid. Kids always have been stupid. Being just barely emerged from my stupid stage, I can't say that the generation before us is going to be any more stupid than any generation, but as you learn more, it's painful. Yelling at people 6 years younger than you, hell, 3 years younger than you, seems common amongst everyone I know.
We just gotta hope/work that kids havn't been getting much much much more stupid each year. To anyone under the age of 20 reading this: Yes, you are stupid. Don't worry, that phrase will make sense in a few years.
