Sony wont be loosing money on the PS3 if they hold it at $299 by the end of the year..
the 250gb is breaking even already

and these predictions are based off from the " traction gaining" and "in the box"..WTH?..well whatever it's an interesting thing to see which one outsells the other.
TheSource said: Bundling it with PS3 at the same price would hurt Sony financially...they sure as hell can't raise the PS3 price though. So they probably at best would have a $250 PS3, and a $300 PS3 + Arc. |
why not rise the PS3 price ?
it was they do with game, right ?
Time to Work !
i see 250gb at 299$ or very unlikely 120gb $249 but doubt that something tells me there phasing out the 120gb like they did with the 60gb and then had the 80g replace it at the same price then again with the 40g being replaced by the 80gb, 120gb at 249$ would be good for sales come gt5 release time though
i dont see no arc bundle maybe with SW like LBP2 or something that could explain y patcher believes this will happen natal will sell more since it should be coming out with the HW
big ? is with 360 sku will include natal will even the arcade have natal included that would be tough to do 150$ arcade with natal might put the final nail in nailing 2nd for the gen but if the 360 remains at 199$ this year that would be a big mistake for MS if they want 2nd

Just going by what i see on tv shows, news stations, and media as a whole - internet, magazines, etc. I think Patcher is right on this one.

If Natal is bundled and Arc isn't(which I firmly believe will be the case) then he's being conservative with a 5 to 1 estimate.
I don't need your console war.

NO NO, NO NO NO.
I will wait to see the software before I predict which one will sell the most.
MS/Sony need their own "WiiSports"-like game to sell the masses on their controller. The company that can make the must-have game that casual consumers and the mainstream press love will win. I have not seen that game yet from Sony or MS. Hopefully it will be at E3.
So Pachter believes 360 will sell less than 10 million consoles in a year: "A year or so after launch there will be 10 million Natal units out there". One must assume that more than a few current 360 owners will go out and buy Natal (if they don't then Natal is gonna struggle). If Natal comes as an "in the box" product then that means every 360 sold = a Natal unit sold. Therefore 10 million Natals sold in a year (Nov to Nov) minus existing 360 owners buying Natal units =

If it's bundled, it doesn't need any game to sell. Throw a tech demo in with it, and you're done....like Wii Sports.
I'm not flaming Wii-Sports, but the first one was basically a tech demo, added to a system bundled with motion controllers, and a major reason it sold so well is because it was bundled.
