To be fair, they already had the engine and took less time to make, I can see UC2 being that cheap.
I also expect Killzone 3 to be much cheaper than Killzone 2.

Ubisoft made a brand new engine for Assassin's Creed. And it's already confirmed by Guillemot that AC2 cost 20% more than AC1.
Both the actual Assassin's Creed game budget numbers on that list, $20mill and $24 mill respectively, are totally false though and the source they refer to is worthless.

List of games using Anvil engine
"According to Guillemot, the Assassin's Creed sequel will have a budget roughly 20 percent bigger than the original game. With a production budget well beyond US 20 million, Assassin's Creed (PC, PS3, Xbox 360) used to be the biggest-budgeted game that Ubisoft ever made"

Disregard the $20 million number though because that comes not from Guillemot's mouth.
Ubisoft said there were 450 people working on AC2:

I know it was probably not full-time workers, but I highly doubt this game had an average budget.

Not a single Nintendo game, wow wonder how much they haver ever spent on one game including advertising.
If it isn't turnbased it isn't worth playing (mostly)
