It's $30. It's free for right now in the beta.

With the exception of creep deny, I think the changes are good ones. As far as towers its just about balanced team, or even one tower wrecker. By mid game, either sivir or tristana can wreck a tower in seconds for example.

Though I do admit, its entirely preference. Part of the reason LoL is good, is it gives an even playing field (for people who havent been dotaing for years), plus the matchmaking which has flaws but since it uses ELO rating - at least newer players arent being put in games with dota pros.

I will admit I am not "pro", nor play in competitive leagues. I did give HoN/Dota a fair shake though, my liking LoL better is just preference. I can see why some long term dota vets do not like LoL for being different, though I know some who like LoL because it is.

LoL doesn't have items that you can use for skills, that adds a huge wrinkle to the game. LoL items are only used for stats and things like life steal. You can't turn the enemy into a sheep, make yourself invulnerable to physical attacks, blink, magic immunity for 5 seconds, move the enemy with force staff. There's so many of them. These items are used to counteract the enemy skills and cover up your own weaknesses.

I realize that, I just think its a change for the better. Though some abilities like blink are covered as summoner spells. LoL book + masteries + summoner spells = deeper strat with your character, team and how you play. HoN/Dota superitems = just a bigger snowball.

Thats how I view it anyhow.

False. They have those items, though not many. For instance there is a nuke item in the game right now. Looks like a voodoo head thing.

those summoner spells are decided before the game starts, you can't change them in the game to adjust to the strategy you need.
