Oh sorry, I misread you original statement.  Yeah, it was pretty obvious no Nintendo teams were doing this game.  The only possibility could've been Monolith, and Xenoblade already pretty much ruled them out.

Is the game a 1st party game or 3rd party game? or 2nd party game. I'm quite confused

Erm, what does that have to do with anything? Artoon wouldn't be doing things like a job system, Mistwalker would if they chose to add something like that in the game.

Artoon will have some degree on involvement with game design.  They did with Blue Dragon (a lot actually) and AWAY.  And so did feelplus with Lost Odyssey, and Brownie Brown with BD+, etc.  These games are all really co-developed.

So yeah i find it hilarious that there is hype of the Last Story because it's a Wii Exclusive, rather than for gameplay videos. Especially after Blue Dragon, and Lost Odyssey which were labeled as mediocre to average by vgc. I guess all it takes for a game to turn good is to be go Wii :P

Last time I checked many people though BD was mediocre but LO was good.

Yeah it's a proper term. Second party is when it's made by a third party but published by a first. Even games made by Insomniac for Sony are second party.

I don't think that's what second party means.

1st party are all the studios owned by the HW manufacturer.
3rd party are all the studios that are completely unrelated to the HW manufacturer, as in they can publish and develop games for whatever console they want.

2nd party are studios that aren't owned by the HW manufacturer, but that exclusively develop games for 1 HW manufacturer. Example Insomniac for Sony or Camelot/Skip/Genius Sonority for Nintendo.
