That PS3 screen looks like it is on a S.D. TV. Because I have seen XIII on PS3 and it looks WAY better than that.

Anything higher than 480 = HD.

In that case the European Wii is HD.

Technically, yes! Assuming its actually running above 480.

You've been proven wrong about 6 times in this thread yet you still go on with this nonsense? Anything less than 720p is not HD.

Well the standard for gaming has been 480. So yeah, I'm entitled to my opinion.

A *standard* is not an *opinion*.

X360 advantages:
Better hair (less dithering, though in other moments this might turn around..)
Better texture filtering (look below the camera tutorial text at the black stripes on the floor and you'll see the difference)
IMO better colors
Seems to have less jaggies (though it's cuz of blur..)

PS3 advantages:
Less blur
Seems to be higher res natively
Lighting slightly better
Better textures (but filtering is worse..)

Bottom line:
The differences are up to preference.. Pick whichever version you would like, and don't believe all the hype that either version is way superior than the other.. Your experience will not be ruined with either one.

When screenshots show different contrast and colors between the Xbox 360 and PS3 versions of a game, it comes down entirely to the way the shots are captured as different color spaces are used by default on the two consoles (or to be more specific, nVidia and ATI video cards). On a calibrated screen with both systems set up, the colors and contrast will be identical. The whole "Xbox 360 colors are better" line is a myth that even the geniuses at places like The Digital Foundry are too stupid to figure out.

They are exactly the same. RGB color values don't change because you enter them into different dev kits. It's simply comes down to your display settings.

its been confirmed that this is not a good capture of the PS3 version.
The true summary is
X360: Advantages: none.

360 Disadvantages:
3 discs
sub-hd resolution

compressed audio, compressed FMVs, texture loss, detail loss

PS3
Less Blurr

Less Dithering
1 disc

720p
 1080p FMVs
lossless audio
native textures, highest detail

PS3 Disadvantages:
none.

The PS3 images were captured from a video file on someone's computer. LAWLZ.

Oh, and better hair/less dithering on the 360 version? I don't think so.

Xbox 360:

PS3:

In the 360 version looks like the girl has bikini tan lines ;)

In all seriousness though, maybe the 360 and PS3 NA versions look the same, maybe the Japanese guys got the only real good version :P

Unicorns ARE real - They are just fat, grey and called Rhinos

All I know is that I'm getting FF13 on Xbox 360, that means a sale goes for MS and that means I will get to enjoy the exact same game with the same storyline on my system of choice and PS3 fanboys can't do anything about it. So the best way to end this is with this video:

Yea if you have an Xbox and not a PS3 then what else you going to do, not play it or buy a PS3 just for this game?

The real hang up people have with this is not just the game it is the debate on weather PS3 is above Xbox, if they can offer different games - even if it is a slight difference. All in all, say everything is equal will you take something that is slightly inferior or the best one, why not choose the best one then even if it is only slightly better - it is still better.
