02/17/10 SEGA developing SEGA Vision 2

We can officially reveal in this world exclusive that SEGA is currently developing the successor to the 2008 SEGA Vision PMP.

Features which were lacking in the initial model such as, digital TV Tuner, touch screen, telephony and gaming shall be as standard in the next model.

SEGA has cut deals with british semiconductor companies ARM and Imagination Technologies to provide the central processor and the graphics processor for the device.

The Vision 2 shall hit store shelves by holiday season 2010.

I'd buy it just because it's sega.

Nope. This is what's called other market consumer target. This does not mean they are entering the handheld circle. It means they are offering gaming to people who buy it for it's primary goal. Media entertainment.

Squilliam: On Vgcharts its a commonly accepted practice to twist the bounds of plausibility in order to support your argument or agenda so I think its pretty cool that this gives me the precedent to say whatever I damn well please.

Only in my dreams....

Sega making hardware !?!?!?!?!?!?!!?!?!?!

Hurray!

I just hope that the current console manufacturers won't get mad and ban them from their hardware.

I will definately get it.

I would buy this, I miss Sega hardware. I would trade either Sony or Microsoft to have sega back.

Great. I can't wait to see the Sega handheld equivalent to this

Id trade both.

I don't see why SEGA would fight for the crowded personal music player market, considering that such features are rather expensive towards money that SEGA doesn't have anymore anyway.

Monster Hunter: pissing me off since 2010.

It'll be great until the batteries die in five minutes.
