Forums - Nintendo Discussion - Xenoblade scans: It's purdy!!!!!!!!!

BTW, most NES RPGs would have a shell of a story compared to today's games.

"OMG, If this is what the wii can do at..... 90%? I wanna see zelda graphics"

It's a huge streaming world. Graphics will be limited because of that.

Are you saying it is not going to look as good as the scans?  Because the graphics I see in the scans look amazing.

I did not. Read what I wrote again.

Then what are you saying?  I don't see the graphics as being limited.  They look amazing from what we see in the scans.  If it lives up to that, it is going to be one of the best looking games on the console.

"limited"=/="does not look amazing". It just means the detail won't be as high as it could have been with putting areas in between full loading screens. Note that FFXII was one of the best looking (if not the best) RPGs on the PS2, and the areas had about five seconds of loading. Crystal Bearers had a higher polygon count and better texturing and shading, with either no loading between areas or a shor loading screen when you start a save or warp.

Can't things load in the background like Twilight Princess?

This game looks beautiful.

Finally Wii owners can get to look at games when developers take their system SERIOUSLY

(Monster Hunter 3, Xenoblade, no doubt Last Story and DQX will too, Mario Galaxy 1 + 2, Brawl, MP3, NMH2, Red Steel 2, Grinder, Zelda Wii will push it)

Wow, the environments loos gorgeous, graphics just look stunning for a Wii game. Game sounds awesome. I like the unique concept of playing on the bodies of gods. Very interesting indeed.

This game may one day take the crown from Tales of Graces as my most anticipated Wii RPG.

In Hyrule Field, and note how even though the detail in objects is the same as the areas that load, the amount of detail is a lot lower. This game looks to just keep the polygon count and texturing at a lower amount than it could have been to keep the streaming up.

Wow.

Simply astounding. I am genuinely interested in this title.

Hopefully its the start of a popular RPG franchise for Nintendo.

Same with the LAST STORY.

Anyone realize how this is really the first time Nintendo is pushing for JRPG franchises (epic ones) on their home consoles since the SNES days? N64 was dry, GC had a Tales game + Baten Kaitos, but compared to all their systems, the Wii is the biggest since the SNES days (its only missing Final Fantasy proper)

Good job for Nintendo.

Uhm, N64 had (Quest 64) Paper Mario! GC also had Paper Mario (and Skies of Arcadia)

edit: I can't strike Quest 64, somehow doesn't work :-o

"And yet, I've realized that maybe living a "decent" life means you won't ever have a "good" life."

^^^Well, we will see if the game even needs that extra "oomph" in visuals when a new trailer comes out. The "streaming" may be worth the graphical sacrifice.

I wouldn't mind 2.5 seconds of loading though; if it is for a greater cause. All they would need to do is throw up a spiffy wallpaper on the screen. The areas seem to be large, so the loading wouldn't occur constantly enough to be bothersome.

Eh, Nintendo is behind this one, so I'm not worried about polish lol

It's because of the streaming that the areas are large.

Better than linearity.

Duh. My point is that the game from what he said won't have loading screens, and if the graphics aren't as detailed as other Wii games it's because of that.
