Yes

What FPS on Wii uses motion control? None, aside from Red Steel for sword fighting.

IR makes FPS great on Wii not motion and neither Arc nor Natal incorporate IR

They can do something close enough, hence RE5:AE.

In answer to what I think the OP really meant though, yes, I do think this is the last gen where dual analog will be standard for shooters. In fact, it's the last gen where the gamepad will be standard in general.

Wasn't aware the PS3 version was going to use Sony's new motion device to aim.  I wonder how and how well that'll work.  Unfortunately since it's been delayed until the fall we won't know for a while.

We had this RE:5 video for a while...

that gives a good idea how it works..

Face the future.. Gamecenter ID: nikkom_nl (oh no he didn't!!)

we know Natal alone does not seem that great for FPS outside launching grenade with your arm

outside this, we may see some motion control in FPS from everybody ...

Time to Work !

Motion? I hope not. IR pointer though? YES PLEASE. After playing Call of Duty on Wii I never want to go back to dual analogue.

I wonder will any - I mean as their main control scheme. I can see optional motion controls but not mandatory, not unless all three consoles use something like a nunchuck and wiimote dual input scheme.

Try to be reasonable... its easier than you think...

I seriously hope not.

It's funny, I have been playing the Metroid Prime Trilogy, and the motion controls, combined with the free aim lock on, actually makes the game more challenging in a fun way.

In the original Metroid Prime, when you locked on you instantly aimed center mass.

In the Wii Metroid Prime (with free aim lock on enabled), you lock on, and you have to aim at them. Not only does this make the game more challenging, but it allows you to shoot at targets you are not currently locked on. This is especially beneficial against that big rock guy who throws boulders at you. You can remain locked onto the boss and shoot the boulders.

I guess this doesn't pertain to the topic too well, except to mention a game that was made better by IR controls.

Zangeki no Reginleiv uses motion plus to control the cursor and that is way better than IR. When you move your cursor off screen and bring it back, its seamless and very smooth. I think RedSteel 2 is going to use motion plus for the cursor too. I can't wait for that ps3 motion controlled RE:5. When i get online with the Arc, its over for other standard control players.

As long as they're not mandatory I don't care.

I was not impressed when I played The Conduit with IR. I'm better with a controller and my arm doesn't hurt when I play long gaming sessions.
