I've always thought that the 360 version of the FFXIII wouldn't steal that much in the way of sales from the PS3 version, but instead they were tapping a market that would otherwise remain untouched. I think for Sony it was important to keep Versus exclusive, as fans of the franchise would logically buy a PS3 instead of a 360 since they would want to be able to play both games in the future. (you would think anyway) So I think a fair bit of the 360 software sales will be from people who wouldn't have had a PS3 anyway. I had 2 friends buy a PS3 last week for this very reason, since they will want to play Versus in the future. I know that is small anecdotal evidence, but I'm sure that kind of sentiment isn't rare.

That's not to say the PS3 is losing no sales, I just don't think the impact is as great as others think.

Which is why the Take-Two CEO had to come out and explain to their investors why the GTA4 DLC sold poorly right?  I think somebody else needs to do their research.

Also, Revenue doesn't mean squat if it's less than the Operating Expense.  And FYI, Take-Two has been in the red in Net Income since 2008.  Even with the $50m MS gave them, they're still losing money.  There's no need to even debate this issue.  Just go straight to the facts.  Take-Two is a publicly traded company.  Their financial reports are readily accessible to the public.

secondly a MS made advertisement WON"T list a PS as a product. If SE wants those comercials to have Sony on them. They they can make them. If Sony want's Sony on the adds, they can make the comercials. serious PS fans that behave like this need to stop acting like a 8 year old.

Even though FF originated on the NES, it got big (in the west) on the PS, thus plenty of pepole refer to it as the original console for FF.

I like how it's Microsoft "desperatly" marketing FF13. I wonder if the exclusive BF BC2 beta was Sony "desperatly" marketing that game...oh no, no doubt that was just EA giving it for free cause Sony would NEVER pay to keep content from the other guy...
