Super Mario Galaxy was pure brilliance.

Not the best game ever, though. Definitely the best game so far this gen for me.

seriously tho i own galaxy, i beat it. it was good, better than i expected, but after i beat it i havent even put it in the wii ever again.

awesome game but im pretty sure i could name 10-20 games id rate higher this gen

yeah I'd put it in front of Uncharted 2 on the 19th place in my personal list.

So getting 242 stars in this game wasn't hard enough? how the hell can people say that after playing all those 30+ FPS out there who even a 7 year old can beat.

I'd agree with that.  If the level design in the sequel is as inventive and fun as the original, but ramps up the difficulty a touch, I could be playing my favourite ever game in a few months.  I need to go back to Galaxy actually, for some reason I finished it as soon as I could, and never got round to getting the extra stars, despite how much I loved it.

I don't think a 7 year old can beat any CoD game on Veteran or any Halo on Legendary (not to mention mythic) without massive help
