Why all of a sudden the DS controller is a problem?It was great fos the past 15 years,now it's to small,it's doesn't have the sticks in the right place.the triggers are no good,the xbox controller has it right,really?I don't see know reason to change.

I personally prefer the bigger handles the Xbox 360 controller has. When I had just bought my PS3, the controller felt really odd at first - the Xbox 360 controller was the only controller I had used in a long time, and in comparison the PS3 controller felt way too small at first.
I quickly got used to using it, and meanwhile I think the PS3 controller is superior in pretty much every respect - but I would still prefer if the handles were a little longer.

Just tweak it for the next console.

The Dualshock improved on the Playstation 1 controller by adding rumble and 2 analog sticks.
DualShock 2 added L3 and R3 along with pressure sensitive face buttons.
DualShock 3 added Tilt control, the PS button and .10 degrees of analog control.
(I'm leaving out the SixAxiS because to be it never should have exsisted)

I too would like it to be heavier. when I hold it it feels like I am holding nothing. And the shoulder buttons are too shit. Need to make them tougher. Over all it is good controller but not the best ever made.

however I think the controller should be changed IF IT BENEFITS the new system otherwise leave it as is.

Kind of like Nintendo do. They make the system to fit their games.

All I would do is reshape the bottom triggers and make the handle bits a little more ergonomic.
Maybe throw in some LED back lights for the face buttons and throw in some chrome and finally cover up the line where the two halves of the controller fit together, you know, the groove that you can scrape that weird greyish black stuff out of with a pin!

All kidding aside, they were already making one for the PS3, but it got such negative fan reception they just backpedaled and kept the old design. Frankly, looking at Sony's track record, they don't seem to be able to come up with much original ideas. They'll probably have to wait until someone else comes up with a 'new' controller and just slightly tweak that. I mean, every one of the previous Sony offerings in the past has been a previous Nintendo idea altered to work for their machines.

the normal PS controller is the best controller ever...why change?when i saw the boomerang controller the first time in 05 i puked and prayed to god "i want the normal controller"
