Nvidia or ATI

Nvidia 46 38.98%

ATI 67 56.78%

S3 5 4.24%

Total:118

For me, it's a toss up. I know ATI has the most advanced and the fastest graphics line of cards, the 5000 HD series. But I've always done all my gaming and everything on Nvidia chipsets. The ones I've used were the Nvidia Vanta (released in 1999) and the Geforce 9100 integrated graphics chipset (released in 2008, I believe), so I'll vote for Nvidia.

We voted and discussed what processor brand we liked. Now let's do the same for the graphics brands. What are your guy's favorite graphics manufacturer of these companies? Vote and discuss below.

Oh, and by the way, S3 used to be a 2D graphics manufacturer 10+ years ago. But recently they have some extremely powerful 3D integrated graphics chipsets. In other words, it appears they're trying to make a comeback into the graphics market. Just thought I'd throw S3 into the poll to mix things up a bit.

I'm a bigger fan of ATI, even though I have a Nvidia card in my PC right now.

ATI all the way! They are an incredible company (They sent my disabled friend a free HD 5870) and they don't pull the dirty shit that Nvidia does.

Tease.

nVidia. They have always had better and more reliable drivers than ATI.

ATI. Because they have always done right by me. I have a comp running both and i can honestly say ive had less problems running ATI cards. I currently have a gaming rig (specs in sig) and a laptop running and intel and Nvidia GTX 260M.

I will always pick ATI/AMD when i have a choice but unfortunatly i didnt really have a choice for laptops... :(

The underdog who became king.

ATI 4 LIFE!

ATi. They're inside my PC as a Radeon HD4850. Also, they're inside my Wii and my Gamecube... that equals to 10x the awesome.

On the other hand, nVidia is inside my a salvaged PC I built for my mom... therefore, nVidia = casuals... or not?

ATI also exists inside the Xbox 360, which also makes it more awesome.

I am not the biggest fan of ATI's driver package (especially in Linux), but their hardware is a beast.

Ive used both and had more problems with ATI (but thats just because of Linux). My next system build will probably have an ATI card in it.

Whichever has the better card for Battlefield and/or Civilization games that are out or coming out when I build a new machine; at around $250.

No brand loyalty here as I usually buy one made by a 3rd party company anyways and the all seem to last.
