I think this is better. Looks like Valor extending the facepalm couretsy to the OP :p
So far Ihavent played a single game with annoying kids. Every game has been about team work and not a single noob in site. People keep forgetting, this aint MW2, this is MAG- a tactical 256 mp fps for which you dont have to pay a single penny to play online and yet it grips you for hours a day.
Has the OP even played the game to make write an article or is everything based on pure speculation!

It is good to see that most the 360 gamers on here can see through the BS of this article, though. It would be like saying PS3 gamers don't want Mass Effect 1&2 cause we have x & y game. @ finalguy You do make a very good point, that if this was on 360 instead of PS3 that same site would be praising it and bashing the PS3 for not having it. Though slowmo is right, punctuation is key. @ gamings_best Killzone - 2.2 mil Mag - 332k (not bad for the first week of a new IP that's aimed more towards hardcore FPS fans) Warhawk - 540k Socom - 1 mil I don't think those games can be considered failures, even by the industry's standards. The lowest one of those games will most likely end up being Warhawk (of course this doesn't count online sales of the game), which with just over 1/2 a mil has probably paid for itself and then some. I think this gen in particular we have been blinded by huge multi-million sellers, and therefore think a game has to sell at least 3 or 4 mil for it to be a success. But in reality, games don't even have to break a mil for them to be successful. |
and then the indusrty compares those sales to halo in cod, and it becomes "average game is average" it's so retarded that line of thought.
quick question, how many multiplayer fps in general are on the 360 that support over 24 players online, and how well did those games do???
| Kantor said: There's a much simpler reason. MAG isn't particularly good. If you look at it, most PS3 gamers don't want MAG. |
Both of those statements might be true, but they are completely unrelated. Most PS3 owners don't want Uncharted 2 either, but that doesn't mean it's bad.
Honestly I own both systems and even I don't want MAG, not now at least, nor do I want another Halo game, but thats another conversation. I want the video game community to stop being bombarded with Shooters. I don't mind if a game based on action or adventure has shooting in it, but a game mainly based off of shooting is just annoying. Please stop with the Shooters!
2010 Hardware Sales Predictions
Wii: 20m- Sales will drop, but not by much.
PS3: 13.5m- It sold 12m in 2009, its only common sense it will sell more this year.
Xbox 360: 11m- It sold 11m in 2008 and 2009, I think it will sell the same.
My Fanboy Speech...
Why do you have to make excuses to defend a product that you purchased, but that's the only connection you have to it, you don't make it, you don't lose or gain money on it. I don't see where all of the defensiveness comes in, there is no reason for you or anybody else to feel obligated to defend it. Now I would understand if one of you were a developer for the product and you slaved over said product only to hear somebody call it stupid or a piece of junk. But none of you developed it, none of you are mature enough to realize that. Choosing a product all comes down to preference, you chose said product because it is best for you. Simple as that!
lol its from Planet Xbox.
360 has no shortage of great FPS games but you can never have too many. I know for a fact 360 owners would like MAG.
The guy obviously hasn't played the game. As none of those game were even close to the experience mag provides. Also the Fuckwad theory of his doesn't really apply as you still only have 8 members to communicate with unless you're a squad leader who can talk to other squad leaders.
When someone writes a,"We don't want" piece, that's a clear sign that....you do want.
Also don't shame your damn BS on all 360's owners it makes us look back.
CURRENTLY PLAYING: Warframe, Witcher 2

Yea, and people who only own PS3's don't want Mass Effect 1 or 2.
wait....
It seems you were comparing MAG to 360 exclusives games and not actually giving a reason why gamers on the 360 dont want or need MAG.
You guys also call yourself "hardcore fps fans" yet MAG is a hardcore game. MAG isnt for the casual (although it welcomes them, just like it welcomes all playing styles) so that dismisses your argument. Valor for the traditional fps military shooters crowd, Raven for the sci-fi shooting crowd, Sver relates to all. Just as their description (believe it or not) is how people play. i seen people i met on Resistance 2 play as Raven the way they would on Resistance. I seen guys from Socom play the way they would on Valor etc. I'm a hardcore fps player i own in pretty much all fps games i touch and i absolutely love MAG. FYI i use my skills and not cheating devices (360 mostly) or lag devices (on the ps3).
The lack of a mature community isnt MAGs fault but 360 users so dont try to use that as a reason "why ya wouldnt want MAG". Which also contradicts your argument. co-op takes teamwork so why wouldnt people on the 360 be able to use that exact same *teamwork* in MAG? it makes me wonder that maybe your co-op isnt much to talk about either.
Also youre just not going against the "environment" but the people in the environment controlling the Turrettes, humvees', APC's, calling in commands (air-strike, gas-strike etc.), repairing, reviving, and shooting at you. I'm always in the middle of a battle avoiding strikes, and killing enemies approaching me. I can say that MAG battles are definitely intense.
I think Sony revolutionize and set a new standard on how online multi-player is done and played. It's a whole new level on the ps3 online, way beyond what Ms offers. I and others I know dont care for small battles anymore (5vs5, 10vs10, etc. that's old and plagued with campers, due to the small size) we want intense huge battles on just as big maps.
Resistance 2, 8 player co-op going against waves of chemiras big and small. 30 vs 30 player battles on 5 different game modes.
Killzone 2, 16 vs 16 player battles on 6-7 different game modes running on huge beautiful, vivid maps.
MAG, 32vs32, 64vs64, 128vs128 player battles on 4 games modes, with a great command structure. ASTRONOMICAL map sizes with a lot of real-time events happening at once.
Note: i thought this comment (article) was done by the poster didnt see the link so just pretend im talking to the journalist (to lazy to edit lol)

Looking at it that way, most gamers on any console don't want any specific game, because no game has a 50% attach rate (except Wii Sports, and I'm pretty sure half of the Wii's install base or more wouldn't have paid full price for that), but looking at the extremely small sample of this website and others like it, MAG is nowhere near as popular as, say, Uncharted 2, or Gears, or Halo, or MW2, etc.
