It seems you were comparing MAG to 360 exclusives games and not actually giving a reason why gamers on the 360 dont want or need MAG.
You guys also call yourself "hardcore fps fans" yet MAG is a hardcore game. MAG isnt for the casual (although it welcomes them, just like it welcomes all playing styles) so that dismisses your argument. Valor for the traditional fps military shooters crowd, Raven for the sci-fi shooting crowd, Sver relates to all. Just as their description (believe it or not) is how people play. i seen people i met on Resistance 2 play as Raven the way they would on Resistance. I seen guys from Socom play the way they would on Valor etc. I'm a hardcore fps player i own in pretty much all fps games i touch and i absolutely love MAG. FYI i use my skills and not cheating devices (360 mostly) or lag devices (on the ps3).
The lack of a mature community isnt MAGs fault but 360 users so dont try to use that as a reason "why ya wouldnt want MAG". Which also contradicts your argument. co-op takes teamwork so why wouldnt people on the 360 be able to use that exact same *teamwork* in MAG? it makes me wonder that maybe your co-op isnt much to talk about either.
Also youre just not going against the "environment" but the people in the environment controlling the Turrettes, humvees', APC's, calling in commands (air-strike, gas-strike etc.), repairing, reviving, and shooting at you. I'm always in the middle of a battle avoiding strikes, and killing enemies approaching me. I can say that MAG battles are definitely intense.
I think Sony revolutionize and set a new standard on how online multi-player is done and played. It's a whole new level on the ps3 online, way beyond what Ms offers. I and others I know dont care for small battles anymore (5vs5, 10vs10, etc. that's old and plagued with campers, due to the small size) we want intense huge battles on just as big maps.
Resistance 2, 8 player co-op going against waves of chemiras big and small. 30 vs 30 player battles on 5 different game modes.
Killzone 2, 16 vs 16 player battles on 6-7 different game modes running on huge beautiful, vivid maps.
MAG, 32vs32, 64vs64, 128vs128 player battles on 4 games modes, with a great command structure. ASTRONOMICAL map sizes with a lot of real-time events happening at once.
