Google will F*** you over.. that being said, I would not be surprised in 5-10 years we find out that Google is actually a part of Microsoft

Think about it, both companies started out with the "We just want to help you" motto now... look at M$ and now Google is starting it

I cannot understand how anyone could support what google just did. To remove access to any information in a search engine should be a crime. When goverments do it it is bad enough. When companies do it it's even worse. Do you REALLY want Google to be the judge of what information you can access or not?

Apple are a highly profitable hardware company. They wont be negatively affected by this. Just like there isn't much that Apple could do to Google.

No the key issue here is how google is willing to censor information on their "search" engine. Remember the whole point of google is allowing people access to information. By censoring their database they not only compromise their cheif purpose but they also erode the access to information that you and I have.

Apple may be bastards but if Google is really doing this they're far far worse.

And people will cheer them on... Its sickening.

Although just like Microsoft, Google will get bigger and bigger and more hated mark my words in 10 years google will fall just like Microsoft will when the windows OS collapses

That's a law suit. Clear cut. They can't do that.

Sure google is wrong to censor off apple.. but didnt apple do the same with "google voice" and numerous other applications.. hell they recently blocked an application that mentioned "android devices" within it.

Apple are probably a lot worse than google. Hell they'r starting to remind me of a hardware version of Microsoft.

My thoughts exactly. On the scale of dickhead moves, that manuevre is far more scary and worrisome than anything Apple is doing.

And these clowns sit here and lap it up. No matter how you look at it, a company as powerful as Google pulling a stunt like this is frightening.

It's censorship no matter how you look at it. Google deleted information because they have a grudge against another company.

When you're in the information business and the public relies on you, that is WRONG. It sets a very ugly precedent and shows just how little the modern Google cares about their catchphrase "don't be evil".

Apple blocked that app due to business reasons. They felt it was in conflict with the iPhone's voice capabilites. I don't like it but I understand it. A dick move but nothing unusual between businesses with competing products.

On the other hand, Google is a search engine that is presented as a service that will offer the public the best information possible based on their search query. They've now intentionally blocked portions of that service over a GRUDGE.

It's information control and people should think about that for a moment.
