Why on Earth would anyone want to go to London? The place is too busy and everyone is a Manchester United fan.
I still haven't been to Germany, grr.

London 4LIFE!
"Life is but a gentle death. Fate is but a sickness that results in extinction and in the midst of all the uncertainty, lies resolve."

But I have travelled a fair amount for someone my age.

I wouldn't really sweat it. For Europeans there's hardly an excuse to not go foreign. I'm just 3 hours driving away from my neighbouring countries if traffic is somewhat sucky. Plus, we need it. If I want sun I have to go south. If I want to do some mountain-climbing I have to hit the Alps or Pyrenees as closest possible ranges. Real forests? Closes are in South Belgium or Germany. The closest thing we have to a desert is in central Spain and that's a 12 hour drive or something like that from Amsterdam.
America has all of it if you skip culture. And even that, each state has it's own culture. Granted, it's not a day and night difference between the Netherlands and Spain but still. If you want scenery or rest or just "something different" then there is no reason really to go outside the US. If you desire culture then yes, you should travel but only in conjunction with other things you want.

Well, I live is South America and I think its admirable that in Europe you can go from one country to another very easily and the union that they have. here we dont have much conflict but relations arent good enought to be so close and some big economical differences and drug dealing problems make it hard for some countries to open their borders. I thinkwe(Chile) have one of the biggest borders there are with Argentina, yet I havent been there once.
But I understand there is not much more incentives besides culture for US ctizens to go outside their country because they have a huge country with a lot of very different places in there. I kinda understand it since mine being a very long country we have very different weathers and landscapes, so you can go to the snow, forests, beaches, mountains, deserts, extreme south, easter Island, etc...

as much as I'd like to travel overseas, it's a lot cheaper for me to travel within the US and surrounding areas. So far I've been to Canada (PEI, Toronto, Kingston, other areas), most of the northeast of the US (NYC, Philadelphia, Boston, Washington DC + lots and lots of other areas) + Florida & Arizona, and I've been on 2 cruises that took me to Mexico, Honduras, Cayman Islands, Belize, and the Bahamas.
So without even leaving the Americas I've probably traveled over a broader area than most people on this website. As some people have stated, unless you are going for the culture (totally not my thing ) then there is a ton to see without leaving this side of the world
