If you guys don't know, Zune actually competes with the Ipod line of products.

Good thing about the Ipod Touch is that it has itunes (although I can't use it because it isn't available in my country) and it is sleek and light which is trendy. It forced major handphone players like Nokia and RIM to rethink and remake their models.

Zune HD is only good for HD viewing when you wire it to your TV

Recently, Microsoft has lowered the price of its two Zune HD players by $20, according to official pricing on Microsoft's own site.

The 32-Gbyte HD model now costs $269.99, while the 16-GB version now is priced at $199.99. Although retailers like Amazon sells it a little lower.

Which one do you prefer that has more functionality and uniqueness?

The thing that makes the iPod Touch 1000X beter then the Zune, is the app store.

If because of location you don't have access to the 140,000 applications for the touch, then I would get the Zune HD. It's a better piece of hardware (esp the screen).

Btw, if you don't have access to iTunes of any kind, I don't know how you would get any music on the iPod touch. If you can't get to the app store, I would not buy it at all. I would just get a nice MP3 player.

Yeah, strange they call the iphone a smart phone. It should be called a app phone or something. smart phones used to be for geeks, but times have changed =)

I have still yet to see a Zune HD in person. I've heard wondeful things about them but none of our local stores seem to have them. So I guess I would go with the iPod touch, just because its the only one I have used

iPod Touch.. the appstore is awesome.. and the zune is still not available in europe.. and asia.. and africa.. and oceania.. middle east... south america... wth Microsoft?

I would never go with apple since I hate itunes.
ZuneHD looks cool but I am very happy with my Sansa and i like anything that lets me use and SDHC card to expand my space even further.
