Like it matters. Looking at 2009 bringing one big Mario game per year will keep Wii moving for months.

If sales were dependant on wealthy diverse library of games we would be wondering when will Wii pass Xbox 1 at the moment.

Dragon Quest 10 with Pikmin 3 and Kirby Wii would kill in Japan.

But they are so far away that I think PS3 will outsell Wii from April 2010-June 2010 in Japan.

Metacritic also says that Boom Blox is one of the best Wii games.


It's funny, but whenever people feel the need to defend the Wii's games, that game always seems to be on their list.

How is that related to diverse library of games? It only shows PS3 has more well-reviewed games than Wii. However, it doesn't mean all the well-reviewed games are in different genres.

Besides, we are talking about sales in Japan. How many Japanese actually read Metacritics?

The Kirby Wii thing is a conflation of rumors. A new entry in a Nintendo franchise, and a franchise that isn't going to especially "wow the hardcore," is going to be revealed in the next Nintendo Dream in like a week, and then Kirby Wii appeared on GameFaqs release lists for 3/20, about a month after the Nintendo Dream issue launches.

Hmmm, I don't think GameFaqs is a reliable source for release dates. It's all user compiled and nowhere did Nintendo ever confirm or announced the existence of Kirby Wii. It just happens that it has been appearing since the GC era in the FY listings. Plus I'm getting my release dates from dengekionline.com, they are sales trackers as well as a reputable gaming magazine in Japan, and they haven't even got Kirby Wii in the TBA March games. Maybe after April things get better for the Wii, but if this is all it has coming up until then, I can see it going down to the same levels where it got last year. Once again thanks to a huge game drought that shouldn't have happened.

Release dates aren't user compiled on GameFAQs, it shares the same database as Gamespot.  The Kirby date is mysterious, but remember in another week we'll also have that Nintendo Dream "new game in an established series, hardcore won't care" reveal that Nintendo held back from their retailer meeting...

Also, dengeki's worng if they still list Feb for NMH PS3, it was delayed to April.
