This is exactly what I was wondering.

Like it matters. Looking at 2009 bringing one big Mario game per year will keep Wii moving for months.

If sales were dependant on wealthy diverse library of games we would be wondering when will Wii pass Xbox 1 at the moment.

Wii has a more diverse library of games than the PS3 has. The thing is this year it will be the other way around, at least for a few months.

Metacritic says 10 90+ games for Wii, 19 for PS3.

How is that related to diverse library of games? It only shows PS3 has more well-reviewed games than Wii. However, it doesn't mean all the well-reviewed games are in different genres.

Besides, we are talking about sales in Japan. How many Japanese actually read Metacritics?
