If I listened to every reviewer out there, I wouldn't even own half of the collection of games I have today! I'm still getting WKC!!!! WOOOOOOT!!!!

No...I'm saying people shouldn't be too hung up reviews, I'm saying go for games that YOU think YOU will enjoy not what some dude you've never met before says you'll enjoy.

e.g my friends are all Fifa fans but I tried Pro evo once and never looked back.

I heard nothing but great things about Fallout 3 and GTA4, after playing both, I didn't feel either of them.

Sales, reviews and so on should affect what your taste in games is, only YOU should.

Sure if an online game isn't selling well then you should think about that but with a game like WKC that has a robust single player (which let's be honest is meant to be the main part of the game not the multiplayer), sales should not be an issue IMO.

Don't get me wrong. I own a lot of games that got less then perfect scores(Check my collection). But I don't see why it getting lower scores would make you like it more

in all honesty i take more note in the "customer" scores more than the mags or websites, as they are in the same situation as me; there just a normal person playing it socially. and those reviews seem to be in the late 80s. so yes im still buying this game day 1.

I'm buying White Knight Chronicles right after I beat God of War 3 or after Final Fantasy XIII (Whichever I decide to buy first)... or today depends if I'm tempted by the box art when I go to Futureshop. I'd have bought it Tuesday when it was released but I have to go through a God of War run before God of War 3 is released and that's going to take up my time.

I see what you mean, it's not directly because of the low scores that I'm suddenly jumping on the bandwagon it's because I feel people are overlooking what the game has to offer just because of a superficial number.
Rather than outright blanking it, I'll give it a chance because although the reviews seem to ramp up the negatives, I think they are underappriciating the positives the game has and if I get it on a budget, I don't think I will be too stung.
I think the fact that people are so quick to dismiss this game without having a first hand experience is a little sad.
