I don't care about reviews for Japanese games.

Never really cared about it.
The first footage I've seen didn't impress me at all and I don't expect it to be noticable better than IU, TLR or SO4.

When a JRPG gets low reviews, it usually gets them for good reason. JRPG's are the one genre where reviews matter most to me. I'm going to wait for more reviews before really judging this game.

if you look at the average score its still in the 80's at the moment, and not every game has to be 9/10 and sell 2 million to be good, i enjoyed enchanted arms and we all know how bad that scored, i just like it for the battles and nothing more, the rest was painful lol.
that i why i voted for the first option.

Technically yes because I feel with crappy reviews, a lot of people will boycott it and go for some of the bigger guns and I'll be in that special club of people who found a diamond in the rough.

Numblast, I don't remember seeing any 9/10 reviews for that but I enjoyed it immensely.

I think the town idea (if down correctly) will be good. People are critising the story but when was the last time a game had a story worthy of winning oscars?

People call themselves "Gamers" but always stick to the sure fires, in my opinion people should take more risks with their gaming purchases.

It was how I discovered GTA, Pro Evolution, Final Fantasy and Wipeout.

If I hadn't gambled on any of those games I wouldn't be the gamer (dare I say the person I am today regarding final fantasy games, it was how I discovered my fanboyism for a good story and my dream of becoming a writer.)

I'm not saying WKC will change the world or change lives but at the same time, I feel it's not gonna be shit on a stick.

(and btw, FFVIII > FFXII, and what of those two got the higher score?)

So you like games more when they sell less? That makes a lot of sense(Especially for an online game =P)

Maybe because i didn't have access to them until i got my forth console (ps2) xD

No...I'm saying people shouldn't be too hung up reviews, I'm saying go for games that YOU think YOU will enjoy not what some dude you've never met before says you'll enjoy.

e.g my friends are all Fifa fans but I tried Pro evo once and never looked back.

I heard nothing but great things about Fallout 3 and GTA4, after playing both, I didn't feel either of them.

Sales, reviews and so on should not affect what your taste in games is, only YOU should.

Sure if an online game isn't selling well then you should think about that but with a game like WKC that has a robust single player (which let's be honest is meant to be the main part of the game not the multiplayer), sales should not be an issue IMO.

its weird with western reviewers these days,,, at one point they say that they are thirsty for JRPGs, and at the other when they receive good ones, they begin to be be picky and lower the score for unknown and unrealistic reasons,, WESTERNERS ARE SPOILED BECAUSE OF WRPGs, they want all JRPGs to be like WRPGS and act like them! This game has (according to reviewers) great gameplay, huge maps, huge number of sidequests, decent graphics (great CG), and a decent story,,,, i mean what else is to be desired ??? add to that Level5 added a huge online portion !

This game is made by Level 5,, any JRPG fan like myself will not even care for reviews !
