We'll probably see The Cell go 45 nm this summer and then the RSX will probably follow a few months later, so there could be a good chance that we may see a Slim PS3 by the end of the year.

But the question is how big of a difference would this impact sales or it's appeal? Would sales jump drastically or slightly? Would it impact a certain region more? (Amreica, Others or Japan), Will the new look improve sales?

If there's a price cut along with a Slim PS3 I can see the sales drastically improving, maybe 250K a week or more.

Alot of diffeence especially in Japan! Remember the PSP 2000 in Japan! If it does come out this year with a price cut say towards October and Sony make money off it then it is the end of the 360!

Would increase sales yes, by how much i really dont know, more importantly... Sony would have profits.

Take a look at what PSP slim did for PSP.

I would argue that the Monster Hunter game had just as much to do with the resurgance of the PSP, as did going slim.......probably moreso.
