Forums - Gaming Discussion - will diablo 3 go to consoles?

Even the wii isn't accurate enough to play Diablo 2. The action is too fast. It's not like I'd be against it or anything. In fact, if they had a PS3 version that allowed keyboard mouse, I'd totally buy it, but if they have to change the game because of the console control scheme, no thanks for me.

As an example of what I mean, unless you controlled a pointer of some sort (basically the mouse pointer) with the analog stick, which is likely to be super slow and hard to use, it would be tough to have targeted skills (like teleport or meteor in Diablo 2).

The gameplay video they already released has examples of these skills. The withdoctor had a fire bomb skill, the barbarian the leap skill. Both of those require indicating the destination of the action and thats just not possible without some sort of pointer.

no

Now that I think about it I played Diablo on the Playstation once. It was two player as well which was pretty cool. The control wasn't bad.

Oh yea thats not even my words its exactly what they said on the podcast.

Id like it to come Im not sure if it will. Id think it would go to 360 if it does. If it doesnt go to 360 than w00t for me because I have a Wii and will soon own a PS3.

70% --- No way, it will remain on PC

15% --- PS3/Xbox360 with the keyboard and mouse peipherals

let's think about this for a second here...... as a fan of Diablo 2. do you want to play Diablo 3 on 480P resolution?

and how do you have "nice control" with a game like Diablo series?

Soriku (Feb 10/08): In 5 years the PS3/360 will be dead.

True since its the closest to a mouse. Id rather have it come to the Wii too.

It's a 50/50 shot if you ask me. Blizzard has put Diablo on a console before, and now with pressure from Activision (pretty big money whore), it wouldn't surprise me one bit. I really don't think it would compromise the game too much since it doesn't look like it will need ridiculously high specs.

We had two bags of grass, seventy-five pellets of mescaline, five sheets of high-powered blotter acid, a salt shaker half full of cocaine, a whole galaxy of multi-colored uppers, downers, screamers, laughers…Also a quart of tequila, a quart of rum, a case of beer, a pint of raw ether and two dozen amyls.  The only thing that really worried me was the ether.  There is nothing in the world more helpless and irresponsible and depraved than a man in the depths of an ether binge. –Raoul Duke

It is hard to shed anything but crocodile tears over White House speechwriter Patrick Buchanan's tragic analysis of the Nixon debacle. "It's like Sisyphus," he said. "We rolled the rock all the way up the mountain...and it rolled right back down on us...."  Neither Sisyphus nor the commander of the Light Brigade nor Pat Buchanan had the time or any real inclination to question what they were doing...a martyr, to the bitter end, to a "flawed" cause and a narrow, atavistic concept of conservative politics that has done more damage to itself and the country in less than six years than its liberal enemies could have done in two or three decades. -Hunter S.
