I am a huge Call of Duty fan. I finished quite a couple of titles on PC, like the original Modern Warfare trilogy, Black Ops 1 and 2, and the beautiful Infinite Warfare. However, since I only enjoy the Campaign, the last couple of titles weren't very appealing to me. I did like Black Ops 6, but some of the missions were quite uninteresting, and to make things worse, Black Ops 7 required online for the story mode.
So, at first, I was about skeptical about Modern Warfare 4, after those disappointments. But it only took two missions for me to see that Activision got it right this time!
Right at the beginning of the game we can see how much they cared for polishment. The game has insane visuals, and to my surprise, I feel like it runs better on PC than Black Ops 6, the last one I played. You know that in games like those, the first mission must be strong, so it keeps you interested in the game. Boy, that was a great beginning. I really like how the mission starts casual, with a visit to the store with your team for some casual shopping and talk, but it escalates quite fast to a nightmare.
The story about the war between North Korea and South Korea is a breath of fresh air. The cinematics are quite well done, and I like how the plot is strong, with long cutscenes. And the tension in those scenes is really high, with focus on how the people are suffering with their new leader.
So far, Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 4 is showing that Activision can still make a very solid action FPS with an engaging plot, and exciting gameplay. I can't wait to play more tonight.
