Do you play or own games made before 2006? How about before 2011?

Do you own hardware or systems?

Did you know the forums have a retrogaming section? Go make a thread! Talk about your favorite system or games from yesterday.

I own and still play:

- SNES

- Megadrive

- N64

- PS1

- Gamecube

- PS2

- OG Xbox

The SNES is the same one I got in Christmas 1994, my first ever console, and it still works.

Retro games are good old fashioned fun, a time capsule back to a time when fun was paramount.

Send pics. Or save it for when I make a hardware show-off thread in a week or two.

I own:

Commodore 64

Amiga 500

NES

N64

PS1

PS2

Atari Lynx

I regularly play older games, especially from the "golden era of PC-gaming" in the 90s. I replay my favorite game every year ("Betrayal at Krondor") - it was released in 1993. There's a bunch of amazing RPGs from back in the day, doubly so if you include early 2000s. The comeback of isometric RPGs and stellar ARPGs like "Path of Exile 2" and "Titan Quest 2" is making me a very, very happy gamer these past few years.

Yes, mainly through emulation on my AYN Thor currently. But I do own a PS1, Wii, Xbox and Xbox 360 as well as a win XP pc+laptop for retro pc.

Recently played Secret Agent Clank, Sonic Allstars Racing (DS), Sly Cooper and currently playing Burnout 3.

This is lacking option "I never play modern games".
Aside Master System and my second PC that I got new 1998, I've always been far behind times in hardware.

My console games are all Master System or PS1/PS2 - and been emulating anything between Atari 2600 and NDS for 25+ years.
Of my PC games, I'd say 75% are older than 2006, 20% older than 2011 and only 5% newer.

Though last couple years (due my latest PC) I've mostly been playing my newer games. But this year I've already played Wild Arms on PS1, whole lot of Rally Trophy (2001) on PC and bit of couple other old ones - right now messing with Sim Tower. (I had previously trouble running it, so this is first time I'm actually about to finish it.)

Nearly all my favorites are from 90's, though along last decade I've clearly moved on to 00's and am now starting to step to 10's.
