Anything I need to know before going in? As a Nintendo gamer. I’ve heard some crazy high acclaim about this game, so I’m really hoping it sticks well with me.

Go in blind 100%! Just make sure you pay attention to how Pictos and Luminas work. They are essential for your character builds. Keep in mind that most, but not all the of the side quests in this game are meant to be done post game. The game isn't clear about that. Asides from that just enjoy, it's a great game!

Yeah, I agree. At first I was ignoring Pictos and Colour of Luminas, but I regretted it a couple of bosses later.

Avoid spoilers as much as possible!

Don't be afraid of experimenting different combos and strategies. The combat system is very deep, you should rotate characters to extract maximum enjoyment. Also use Maelle, girl is busted and she's cute

Remember although this is a turn based game, it requires attention and focus to hit party/avoid windows

Pay extra attention to the details in the story, read the bits of lore if you can

Act 3 is mostly side content, and is supposed to be done after you beat the game not before

Appreciate the advice, all! It takes a lot for me to push MP4:Beyond & DKBananza to January… hopefully Claire Obscur will prove worthy of this delay. Cannot miss the opportunity to play such an acclaimed game during its big year.

In short: Go in blind. Love doing that with all my games anyways so that works with me:)

Not sure what platform you are playing this on but I would just add that there are 2 missable things in the prologue. If you are attempting to gain all trophies/achievements you may want to look them up as you cannot pick them up again until a new game plus playthrough.

I did all side content before finishing the game. In Act 3 when you your mount gets an ability, everything is unlocked.

In that point you will have to look in guides for what build you will play otherwise you cannot do high level content. :P
