Forums - Gaming - Nintendo's September direct pulled in more viewers than Apple's Event 2025

This is why they charge what they charge, Nintendo has by far the most followers in gaming, and be it for better or for worse, they are on top atm.

I'll be frank, who the heck actually wants to look at Apple barely innovating by placing a higher number on their iPhone line ?

Well, they're a $3 trillion+ company, and their iPhone line is their biggest money maker. So I guess enough people care lol. Shame too. 20+ years ago, I never would've imagined we would've come this low in cell phone innovation. Then again, what left is there to do? lol

Go back to analog of course !

Lol.

Though, as we currently, the innovation is so starved that the techno market is trying it's damn hardest to force their LLM tech into anything.

What a sad state of affair we have achieved ...

And TGA absolutely blows all of these figures out of the water. Crazy how widespread the industry has become!

The Direct format was a genius move and while it took time for it to really take off, heaps of others are adopting it now.

Switch 2 of course made people extra hungry this year.

Kudos to having such a large audience for the direct but for me, I am more interested in a type of CSat survey on the direct as a whole. From what I saw online and in this very forum a lot of Nintendo fans were let down and disapointed in the direct. Imo, a large audience is moot if said audience felt blah on that overall show. Not too say it was bad but this definitely was not the knock out performance that people were looking for.

To start a thread beginning with "this is why they charge what they charge" from such a mixed perception of a show is definitely reaching. If this Direct was the reason why Nintendo charges what they charge then no thanks they can keep it.

And the once so mighty sony ps reduced to nothing

Enthusiasts who care enough to go on forums and complain about a show like this not meeting their expectations make up a very small fraction of those millions who watched it.

I would agree though that I wouldn't draw a line between Direct viewership and pricing. Nintendo charges what they charge because that is what the market has shown they are willing to pay.

How many viewers does the PlayStation directs get?
