So just another 3 or so hours left until the Nintendo Direct.

Here's some rumors I've seen online in the last 48 hours to last few weeks that could potentially become true today at the Nintendo Direct which is about 60 minutes long (or maybe at TGS or the Sony show this month - for third party titles)

I wonder which if these will be announced or showcased at today's ND.

Another Mario vs Rabbids would be amazing, I still those both of those games are grossly underrated. I think both are superb.

RE remakes, already have them, but RE2 Remake in particular is amazing.

I really want to see Rebirth running on the S2, I think that will be a really good benchmark on the hardware.

I expect the Resident Evil ports to be announced sooner rather than later.

But what I want to see the most is Final Fantasy 9 Remake.

The rumor about Mario VS Rabbids is for a new version or a bundle, so wonder if its just a Switch 2 version of the recent game

I got most of the RE games on Switch as well, would love to get the missing games.

Yeah, curious how Rebirth is gonna run on Switch 2 as well.

Same, FF9 is one of my top favorite FF games. 

For me, I want to see Kingdom Hearts 1.5+2.5+2.8 and 3 Remind to be natively released on Switch 2 since the Switch 1 versions are cloud based.

Also would love if they release a new Devil May cry collection similar to the first three on Switch 1 - this time including Devil May Cry 4 SE, DmC Devil May Cry SE and Devil May Cry 5 SE.

I said elsewhere, I think the Tomb Raider Legend / Anniversary / Underworld remasters are a lock (for release Feb 14 2026). Official social media hinted there's news to come soon, and the past two collections have released on Lara's birthday. I guess it's a matter of whether they get announced here or not.

Finally, I'll be able to play the entire Tomb Raider series from the original (remastered of course) to the reboot all on one platform lol.

The Mario Galaxy Movie is practically confirmed at this point. Marketing materials has even revealed the logos and some renders. I’m very curious if this could mean Mario Galaxy 3??? I’d imagine Nintendo may be looking to tie in the movie with a mainline release. Mario+Rabbids seems doubtful.to me since the leader behind the original two had left Ubisoft not too longer ago IIRC. Fire Emblem Three Houses seems to be getting some sort of a Switch 2 upgrade…I don’t think it’ll be a new release though I’d be happy to be wrong.

There’s a lot sitting on the back of this direct. It’s gonna be a very good one! With all the projects that are still in need of new info (MP4, Tomodachi Life, Rhythm Heaven, HW:AoI, etc.), as well as an entire catalogue of major first-party games left to receive an announcement for NS2 (most important, 3D Mario), while I’m not going in expecting to be blown away, I do think it’ll be a very fun watch.

that would be disappointing, given the S2 version already runs locked 60 fps.  Not sure a resolution bump would be worth it.
