Forums - Nintendo Discussion - Advanced Wars 1+2 Reboot Camp Has Been Delayed to Spring 2022

Sad to see that this is going to be delayed. From what we saw at E3 though, it did look a bit rough graphically. So hopefully this extra time will improve on that. This certainly explains why Nintendo has been so quite about this game.

Disappointing. There isn't a Switch game on my radar for the holidays. On the bright side I still need to pickup Returnal and Deathloop.

Disappointed but I'm willing to wait. Was actually really looking forward to this.

Not surprising in my mind, the gameplay/graphics looked a bit rough.

In the wilderness we go alone with our new knowledge and strength.

:(. Have most of December off, and playing Advance Wars would have been a nice way to spend some of it. Guess I'll need to find something else.

Too bad. Guess the holiday season will pretty much just be Mario Party and Pokemon as far as first party goes eh?

I'm more annoyed because this indirectly delays the next new AW game. I assume this is a test game for the studio, if it does well then they can make a proper sequel. Kind of like Mercurysteam had their try with Metroid Samus Returns before getting to do a brand new game with Dread. I also suspect the team behind Links Awakening remake has been working on a new top down Zelda game since that game did so well.

Oh well, that means it could get more polished in the mean time, and might be out for my next birthday. ^^

Wayforward did that shitty Bakugan game previously. I suspect AW was in a similar unpolished state.

As for Grezzo who made Link's Awakening, that was their 5th Zelda game.
