Paper Mario: The Origami King. Several games I want this month.

As for the bonus question: The Last Of Us Part 2 is my favorite game so far this year.

Around the Network

I guess Catherine since I can pretend to be desirable for a week

My favorite game in the first half of the year has been the definitive remake of the modern classic Xenoblade Chronicles.

Paper Mario.

As far as my favorite new releases go, Switch version of Samurai Shodown is probably my highlight.

Streets of Rage 4, Super Crush KO and StarCrossed were also pretty good.

Also the best version of DMC3 on Switch and Atelier Ayesha DX as far as re-releases go.

None.

I also don’t think I’ve gotten any (new) game this year. For a moment I though MediEvil and Luigi’s Mansion but apparently those were both october last year. Pretty uninteresting year actually, I’m struggling to think of something in the future that I actually want to play. Maybe if the Breath of the Wild sequel ends up being 2020.

EDIT: I just realized this is my 10,000th post.

A few interesting titles for this month.

  • Deadly Premonition I heard so much about and bought it for PS3 years back but never got around to it. Interesting that it's now being revived on Switch, so hope that goes well.
  • Ghost of Tsushima has a lot of buzz but I haven't cared much for it so far.
  • Warhammer 40,000 Mechanicus I've played through on PC. A fairly unique and innovative SRPG, though the power scaling got pretty ridiculous towards the end. I'm hopeful the Switch port works well.
  • Destroy All Humans I never played but am keeping an eye on.

All that said I'm going with Paper Mario: The Origami King. Never tried Paper Mario but I've liked the trailers so far.

Bonus: Xenoblade Chronicles: Definitive Edition.

Probably not going to buy anything this from this month.  Both Paper Mario and Ghosts of T. fall into the "maybe but unlikely" category.

Bonus: I haven't played a game released in 2020 yet, although I did buy my daughter Animal Crossing.  I plan to buy Clubhouse Games soon though.  So Clubhouse Games kind of wins by default.

Toss up between Ghost of Tsushima and Paper Mario for me. One is a new IP and the other is an IP I have never played before. If I had to lean one way or the other...Paper Mario gets my vote soley for the fact that I can play it anywhere. Still only 10 hours in to LoU2 due to limited TV time, but I should have it finished by the end of this coming 3 day weekend.

Bonus: Xenoblade DE is my favorite game so far this year, and never played the original so experiencing it for the first time.  Animal Crossing is my suprise of the year though, as I never expected to like the game.  Yet somehow I am approaching 200 hours fast.

Death Stranding for me. I've been eagerly awaiting to play this game.

Ghost of Tsushima. Though I won't be getting it yet as I'll have Final Fantasy VII Remake in my possession (soon) and will be playing through that. Also, maybe Catherine:Full Body.

Bonus: The Last of Us 2. Such a great game.

Marvel’s Iron Man VR
