I think some people will be fed up with the pit shop seems you have to do a lot of (grinding).

I earn around 20/40 wumpa coins each race (not sure why I sometimes earn 20 or 40). (Oh yeah online doesn't seem to pay out more).

That's on average 30 wumpa coins.

The pitshop seems to change daily and gives 8 things.

Example:

Summer time : Character/Colour/skin and another skin for 7200 wumpa coins.
Doom buggy kart: Well a kart for 4200 wumpa coins
Nash: A character for 1500 Wcoins
And 5 other seperated stickers/colours/skins all around 1000-2500.

So if I want to unlock a character I have to win around 50 races/challenges etc...

If I want to unlock everything today I need +21.000 wumpa coins that's around 700 races/challenges won. You can do atleast 10 races/challenges a hour, so I need to play 70 hours today to unlock everything!! OH well wish me good luck!!

Not going to edit but I just bought something and it got replaced with something new from the same group so you don't have to wait a day for something new to pop up =p.

What were they thinking when giving so few wumpa coins per race. It's going to turn the game into a complete grind. Honestly the customization is disappointing, different karts and parts have no affect on stats and aren't particularly interesting in terms of design. The costumes are good. The core of the game is great but a lot of the additions seem a bit half baked.

Well characters have the stats not really an issue for me, Honestly seasons is probably what's going to fix some of the grinding and designs etc.  The seasons have challengs bar with how more you play/succeed how more stuff you unlock but I would not be surprised you get some wumpa coins bonusses aswell.  Two months ago I thought this game was just a reskin of CTR but the addition of CTR Nitro kart courses/characters is a nice bonus for just a 40$ game. Adding seasons that will introduce atleast 10 characters/3 new characters and more is honestly more than I hoped for.

I would LOVE if this game had cross play like Rocket League.

Bought the Switch version. Those loading screens...woo. I may buy it again for PS4 and just save the Switch for when I'm at work.

I just won my first race on my fifth try. Playing on Classic mode. This game is cheap with the AI

Tell me about it. I don't remember the computer being THIS aggressive! And (I'll post it on Twitter when I get home) there was one race where I tied for first. They still counted it as second place!

I'm just glad I got the regular edition and not the $60 version. They didn't make it clear what the bonus stuff would be. It's almost all unlockable. 

I am enjoying it so far. I loved the original and this remake is no exception. Its no Mario Kart 8 and the controls are weird with no way on changing them, however aside from that, its a solid Kart Racer and a sequel would be great.
