Forums - Gaming Discussion - Shenmue 3 delayed to 2019

From the official site.

"The extra time will be used to polish the quality of the game even further, to the high standards it deserves and release the product in the best possible timeframe."

I'm guessing this is understandable seeing the reaction from the fans.

Do Shenmue fans think this will live up to expectations?

Not hating, just asking.

Not sure how there can be expectations of a game that I never expected to exist in the first place. I think I'll get my $29 out of it that I pledged.

That's a weird thing to say...

Howso? When you have expectations, it means it's something that you were expecting. I was never expecting Shenmue 3 to be made. If you knew even the tinest amount regarding Shenmue 1/2's development you'd know why. There's no "expect" involved.

You haven't seen anything from Shenmue 3? You pledge money to something you have no idea what you want from? You have to expect something?

People are expecting things from games like Days Gone now after it was revealed. I don't get what you are arguing here.

I hope this turns out to be decent and not a shitshow like Mighty No. 9.

Well from what I have been looking on the game page this was more or less expected to happen. But what is being show seem to be a good game even though not groundbreaking as the original.

duduspace11 "Well, since we are estimating costs, Pokemon Red/Blue did cost Nintendo about $50m to make back in 1996"

Mr Puggsly: "Hehe, I said good profit. You said big profit. Frankly, not losing money is what I meant by good. Don't get hung up on semantics"

Azzanation: "PS5 wouldn't sold out at launch without scalpers."

They can take untill 2022 as long as the game will be good, Im fine with waiting.

Contrary to what a delay might suggest, it's good news cause it will allow them to polish the game and fix stuff that needs fixing, no need to rush the game, why? It's not like we are twiddling our fingers by a lack of games, at least on the PS4
