I want a new Shining Force RPG! Who else?

I created a petition and will make some videos trying to spread the word, please sign if you love Shining Force. Thank you very much everyone.

I really think this strategy RPG has a lot of potential to be great again.

Shining Force: The Legacy of Great Intention (シャイニング・フォース 神々の遺産 Shainingu Fōsu: Kamigami no Isan?, lit. "Shining Force: The Legacy of the Gods"), is a 1992 fantasy turn-based tactics role-playing video game for the Mega Drive/Genesis console. While primarily a traditional fantasy-themed game, it contains some science fiction elements.

The game has been repeatedly re-released: in Sega Smash Pack Volume 1 for the Dreamcast and Sega Smash Pack 2 for Microsoft Windows, in Sonic's Ultimate Genesis Collection for Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3,[4] and as a standalone game for the Wii Virtual Console and Microsoft Windows via Steam. Additionally, in 2004 a remake was released for the Game Boy Advance under the title Shining Force: Resurrection of the Dark Dragon and in 2010 the game was released for iOS.

My grammar errors are justified by the fact that I am a brazilian living in Brazil. I am also very stupid.

I've only played Shining Force 2. Shining Force 2 was very very good.

So sure.

2 was much better. There is another one called Shining in the Darkness for Genesis, which I have, but haven´t time to play yet.

There are some other games that I never played in the series, so a anthology would also be great!

Me!

I played Shining Force 1 and 2, and one of the most valuable games in my collection is Shining Force III for the Saturn. I'd love to have a traditional Shining Force SRPG done with modern technology.

They do still make Shining games, but they don't get released outside of Japan and they're more straight up RPGs. Most recent one was Shining Resonance for PS3, which came out in 2014.

My favorite strategy RPG series of all time! I've just started playing episode 2 of Shining Force 3, a fan translation translation making it possible for us fans to finally play SF3 in its entirety :). Shining Force 2 is the highlight in the series in my view but they are all amazing. Petition is signed now :).

Have you heard that there are English translation on emulator for episode 2 and 3 of Shining Force 3 so that you can play the whole game now? :)

Yeah. Someone also told me a trick to patch in an English translation to the Saturn games. Can't remember how off the top of my head but it involves disc swapping. Either way, I intend to try one of these two methods at some point.

Shining in the Darkness is a VERY different game.  It was the first of the "Shining" games and is a first person dungeon crawler, not an SRPG.

I decided to go with the Mednafen Saturn emulator in order to avoid the disc swapping :).

Shining in the Ark and Shining Force III are the best ones in the series. Everything after III is non existent as far as I'm concerned.

And yes, I do want a Shining Force IV. I've been waiting for it nearly my entire gaming life. But only as long as it's made by Camelot Software Planning, which is near to impossible seeing as they are now wholly owned by Nintendo. I don't trust SEGA to do it, as we've seen from the crappy sequels they've made in various different genres. Maybe the only realistic option is a contract between Nintendo and SEGA that puts Camelot to work on a new game in the series. Exclusive to the Switch. Now there's a way to make me buy the new console, day 1 no questions asked.

Me! Shining Force 2 is easily in my top 20 games of all time. It's amazing. Shining Force 3 is good so far too. I'm just about to finish Scenario 1. If it was made by Camelot and it was HD on the Switch, sign me up!
