Forums - Gaming Discussion - Fan-made 'Goldeneye 007' multiplayer-only HD remake released

Tagged games:

" There have been other reimaginings of the N64 classic, but like this remake of the "Facility" level in the Unreal 4 engine, they've all been tech demos rather than wholly updated versions. Goldeneye: Source has 25 multiplayer maps, 10 game modes and all 28 weapons from the original game: Fire it up and you can blast your friends just like you did almost two decades ago when it was first released."

Looks like the month of fan-made games continues. I will definitely have to give this one a try in the near future, it's pretty much the Goldeneye we all know and love.

#PCGamingMasterRace :P

Only a matter of time before the single player is remade now, I hope! (And hopefully Perfect Dark)

Edit:
Visuals are held back because of the Archaic source engine unfortunately. :(

Soon to be shut down.

I dont think anybody cares about the IP enough.

I believe a fanmade Goldeneye has existed for years already.

Wow, looks awesome. Fucking Facility!

That's obviously amateur-quality, but pretty great nonetheless! Would be a huge amount of work to create all that in AAA quality.

To me, it looks like the visuals are held back even more by the lack of details in the levels. There's only so much you can do with fancy effects if you don't add more details to the maps. Source games can still look pretty good (but of course not as good as more modern engines) as long as the maps are detailed enough.

It's not a Nintendo fan-made game, so nope.
