Does KI have the protential to last a Season 4?

YES! KI has such a great ... 83 47.70%

NO. KI will start to age ... 91 52.30%

Total:174

Since the departure of Double Helix, many including myself went on to think that KI would drop from its outstanding quality. Knowing Iron Galaxy was going to take charge I had many doubts on KI’s future. Seems to be one of the best moves I have seen so far. Not only has Iron Galaxy continued the amazing quality that KI has, its surpassing what Double Helix achieved which was incredibly high.

Is Killer Instinct the arcade fighting game this generation? It has the best variety of fighting characters I have seen and has some of the best balance fighting I have played. Its net code and visuals are amazing, it has an unrivaled sound track and its gameplay is top notch. Season 3 is looking set to continue this thread.

Not only is KI getting a visual upgrade in Season 3, its next line of characters and stages look set to blow KI out of the water again.

Here is a list of Killer Instinct Season 3 rumoured characters coming soon.

Kim Wu

Archer

Tusk

Serpent/Medusa

Rash

Vampire/Hunter

Shadow Orchid

Eyedol

Gargos

Arbiter

Apart from KI’s 2013 release with its lack of content, I cannot fault the game. KI has come a long way. It has set the bar for fighting game standards this gen and is going to be a hard game to beat. Once you play KI, it’s very hard going back to its slower competitors.

Only those who haven’t played KI would not understand the brilliance of this game.

KI Season 3 releases in March 2016.

EDITED POST - Comparing Arcade Fighters to Arcade Fighters. I love Smash however Smash isnt the same type of game as what im trying to compare KI too. I consider Smash a Brawler then an Arcade Fighter. Lets compare apples to apples not apples and oranges please.

I love your enthusiasm.

I tried KI in the beginning of the gen and it was decent. Of course, I just spent a lot of money on the console and a few launch titles with it. It got lost in the "one day I'll get it.." pile. No Street Fighter to play. Might have to get this.

Also... Arbiter. Too bad DOA 4 got a Spartan already.

Thats a funny question ^^
Guilty Gear, Street Fighter V, the new BlazBlue and old PS3/360-Games ala Persona Arena 2 have better gameplay than Killer Ins. And Tekken 7 is coming. So, no - no chance. But have fun with the game - its cool, not bad = )

No, no it's not.

I'd give that to super smash brothers for now.
- Guilty gear if you wanted a more serious one.
Street fighter 5 in like 6 months to a year,

Personally I'd like to see another Persona arena. I enjoyed both versions of it a lot.
MX probably had the best story though.

Technically Smash Brothers is classed as a Party game not a Fighting game like KI. Different games different markets.

I find KI to be aggressively average. Guilty Gear is a much better fighting game and I expect so is SFV and Tekken 7 will likely be as well.

Bet with Adamblaziken:

I bet that on launch the Nintendo Switch will have no built in in-game voice chat. He bets that it will. The winner gets six months of avatar control over the other user.

Wrong.  Simple, if its included in the Evo tournaments then it's a fighting game.

Not surprised to see this thread (in duplication of Snoopy's thread), by this author.

And as a reply... no. MKX is still THE best of the generation fighting game at the moment.

Yeah, no. Tekken 7 isn't out yet.

It's good to have lots of fighters in the industry after it's slow death in mid 2000s however.

Hmm, pie.

I'll reserve judgment until I get to play it in March but right now I'll go with Smash followed by Street Fighter V

Signature goes here!

the only place where i get to hear news about KI is on this website, in threads like this. So i guess that's a no.
