Easily my surprise game of 2015 thus far. Basically its a strategy game, but there are elements of the game where you have to maintain keeps in different areas and keep them stocked with decent couples who can produce offspring to keep your line of available players going.

So you have strategy both in battle and outside of it. And its hard, even in lower difficulties. Right now i have maybe 6 heroes available, the rest are too young to fight. And in my 4 keeps, i have an infertile 45 year old man who will never produce offspring, and a couple of 65+ year old ladies in other keeps who will never bear children either : This means when picking which resource to make, i have to try and adopt babies. Or when a battle comes up, im more inclined to defend the area with a baby as the reward. Strategy!

The weirdest thing is it can be a decade between battles. I had this awesome bruiser character, started fighting her at like 16, by the time she was 35 she was level 4 or 5. Awesome! But then it was like 11 years before the next fight and she was 46, which is fine, but id hoped to marry her off to breed, which was then impossible. But then i enter this fight against these enemies who literally age you 5 years when they hit you, and she was 66 after the fight and died :( Its also very cool but also disturbing to have a 50 year old badass in one fight but then the next battle rolls around a decade later and you can actually see the wrinkles and frailty of old age.

But man what an awesome Games with Gold selection. Makes up for another month of a shitty billiards game. Anyone else enjoying it?

Indies > AAA this whole gen and i'm more than okay with it. GWG and PS+ have been stellar

Sounds pretty nifty.

The aging dynamic in games reminds of one of the first times I played Nobunaga's Ambition. I picked an older warlord and I was doing well against my friend but then my turn rolled around again and ... he died of old age. Bam, game over, just like that.

Edit:  and it's on sale on Steam.  Hm.

For a second, i thought this was about a chalice in bloodborne being awesome. Lmao.
My bad

All Stats S rank

Downloaded it last night and I didn't have high hopes for it. This game become my sole focus to finish it. Its a very impressive game. Xcom gameplay with an interesting art style.

Awesome! I haven't checked it out yet.

I'm currently playing Child of Light. Looking forward to playing it though.

Really not sure I see any point of Consol over PC's since Kinect, Wii and other alternative ways to play have been abandoned.

Top 50 'most fun' game list coming soon!

Tell me a funny joke!

Just started playing it and so far I like it.

I started downloading it last night. While it was downloading, I watched a twitch feed of some skinny anorexic girl playing it. Looked kind of boring. The chat was more fun with people telling her to eat food.

Xbone... the new "N" word   Apparently I troll MS now | Evidence | Evidence

I've played it quite a while on PC and in the beginning I was probably thinking the same. By now I think it's just a lot of lost potential. Haven't played it since the first wave of euphoria died down.

I backed it in the initial Kickstarter and then played it when it first came out to backers ~ 6 months ago

I didn't love it then and all it really made me do is play another game of XCOM (or 2...). Now I've got Fire Emblem Awakening to play I don't feel such a rush to go and try to the finished version
